He has become involved in a marriage of convenience with Gabby Thomas.
And Emmerdale’s Nicky Miligan couldn’t hide his shock during Monday’s episode when he received a shocking marriage proposal – from his secret boyfriend Ally.
Nicky proposed to Gabby in an attempt to keep his place on Home Farm, as part of his father Caleb’s plot to take over the business, but viewers know that he is gay and has met Ally in secret.
In the scenes, which aired on Monday night, Nicky was visibly hungover after his bachelorette party and headed to the edge of town to meet Ally.
Ally asked his crush about his intentions and confessed, “I miss you and I know you miss me too.” That’s why you agreed to meet me the day before you get married.”

But Nicky denied missing Ally and insisted he only wanted to meet them outside the village, fearing they would be seen together.
Nicky insisted nothing would stop him from marrying Gabby and was stunned when Ally dropped a bombshell.
He declared, “Don’t marry her Nicky, marry me,” insisting that they could tie the knot and go on their honeymoon together.
Ally admitted he loves Nicky and insisted he loves him back as the pair shared a kiss.
But Nicky said he couldn’t walk away from Gabby, and Ally said if he didn’t hear from him in the morning, their relationship was over.
Later, when Gabby said she couldn’t wait to end their abstinence pact after the wedding, Nicky was visibly distracted.
He demands that he back off his plan with Caleb, his father refuses, and the episode ended with Nicky still in awe of Ally’s proposal.
