I posted a selfie on Twitter asking if anyone would like to date me — and now I’ve taken the plunge
A nurse who posted a selfie on Twitter asking for a “celebrity boyfriend” because she was “bored, tipsy and frustrated” has now tied the knot with a stranger who replied.
Jill Sennett, originally from Buffalo, New York, shared the lighthearted post on social media during the pandemic asking if anyone would like to date her.
The 34-year-old soon received a response from Casey Serrano who was eager to strike up a conversation.
And now the pair have tied the knot on the “third anniversary” of their fateful encounter so it can be their “forever anniversary.”

Jill said she “immediately said yes” to the proposal, adding that their honeymoon never ended
Jill took to Twitter in May 2020 to upload the selfie before tagging her idol, singer Hozier.
Casey, 36, was quick to respond to the tweet, stating that while he wasn’t Hozier, his bass playing was featured in the movie sequel Alvin and The Chipmunk.
And from there the couple quickly broke loose.
They continued to exchange messages and two days after meeting online, they had their first “virtual” Skype date.
Casey, who eventually comes from Denver, Colorado flew out to see Jill — nearly 2,000 miles away — and within a month of the initial reports, the pair became boyfriend and girlfriend.
The couple both said there was instant chemistry between them and when Casey popped the question in March 2022 under the Eternal Flame Falls waterfall in her hometown, Jill immediately said yes.
They married in southern Spain last month surrounded by close family and friends – on the day three years after their first Twitter conversation.
Oncology nurse Jill, who has now changed her last name to Serrano, said they chose to get married on their Twitter anniversary to make it their “forever” anniversary.

She said, “The wedding really was a full circle moment and we chose this date because it was the day our lives collided and changed forever.
“Our relationship is better than what you see on TV. I am amazed at how well he completes me.
“I think it shows that true love is real and we are so in love.
“Our honeymoon started on May 20, 2020 and has never stopped.”
Jill continued, “When I tweeted the selfie I was never looking for a celebrity until now, I was just feeling isolated and bored in lockdown and wanted my Tweet to come across as lighthearted and funny.
“Casey’s reply to my Tweet was honestly one of the funniest things I’d ever seen and he was pretty cute too.

Three months after their first meeting, Jill quit her job and moved 2,000 miles into her own Denver apartment to be closer to Casey.
“I felt an instant chemistry from his first answer and when we video chatted for the first time I felt like I had known him for over a decade.
“After switching around on Twitter for a while, I slipped into his DMs first. I sent him a message along the lines of “If Twitter were real, I’d totally date you.”‘
When the couple first met in Philadelphia, Jill said she was nervous, which was unusual for her.
She explained, “I first met him on my porch.
“I felt very nervous and uncomfortable and this is not normally how I am.
“I didn’t run into his arms and kiss him when I met him because he was still a stranger, but we gave each other a big hug and then I showed him my dogs and the apartment.
Casey said, “I think the reason me and Jill work so well is that even though we have similar core values and our speeds and energy are the same, both of our histories are similar”

“There seemed to be a lot of pressure at the meeting because we both really liked each other and wanted things to go well.
“Before we met, I had a little crush on him and I wanted it to go well.
“I think that’s why I was a little nervous, but once we met, it felt very natural and fun.”

By December 2020, the couple had moved in together and spent their free time traveling the world, visiting Hawaii and road tripping through Spain.
And after their marriage, the couple went on a romantic vacation to Morocco.

The couple loves to travel and after their marriage, the couple went on a romantic vacation to Morocco
Copywriter Casey said the honeymoon was the “epitome of romance,” adding, “We went to the Atlas Mountains and went to see where Game of Thrones was filmed.” It’s a national heritage site and it was incredible.
“We also did a sunset camel ride through the desert and it was just the two of us.
“They took us back to a tent and in the middle of the desert we ate the best tagine ever and there were candles everywhere.”

“I got divorced twice and it didn’t make me feel loved.
Jill came from a sort of opposite background where she’d only had one serious relationship, but she’s been told she was too much or too loud in the past, which made her feel unloved.
“Both of our broken parts matched and we have this unnatural compatibility with each other.”
