Eva Longoria is pretty in pink while attending the screening of Flamin’ Hot in LA

Eva Longoria looked chic as always at the Hulu and Searchlight Pictures screening of her upcoming film, Flamin’ Hot, at Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Los Angeles on Friday.

The Desperate Housewives star, 48, showed off her toned arms in a pastel pink jumpsuit with a cinched waist.

The actress wore her brunette locks in a chic bun for the event and opted for smoky makeup.

She accessorized with dangling earrings and sported bright red polish on her nails for the occasion.

Flamin’ Hot is Longoria’s directorial debut, which tells the true story of Richard Montañez – a janitor who claims to have invented Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

At the event, she posed with the star of her film Jesse Garcia, 40, who looked dapper in a short-sleeved navy blue shirt.

Others at the screening included DeVon Franklin, Linda Yvette Chavez, Annie Gonzalez, Bobby Soto, Jimmy Gonzalez, and Eric Marc.

Later, Longoria was pictured speaking on stage inside.

The Flamin’ Hot trailer was released on Searchlight Pictures’ official YouTube account earlier last month.

The clip followed the story of Montanez, played by Garcia, a former Frito-Lay janitor who claims to have invented Flamin’ Hot Cheetos during his tenure with the company.

The cast was completed with artists such as Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert and Tony Shalhoub, who play Judy Montanez, Clarence Baker and Roger Enrico respectively.

Flamin’ Hot is based on Richard’s 2013 book A Boy, a Burrito and a Cookie: From Janitor to Executive.

The former janitor then took on an executive role at PepsiCo and became a motivational speaker.

However, a 2021 Los Angeles Times article cast doubt on his story of the snack’s invention, and a spokesperson for Frito-Lay stated, “None of our records show that Richard was involved in any way with the Flamin” Hot test market. ‘

The spokesman added: “That doesn’t mean we don’t celebrate Richard, but the facts don’t back up the urban legend.”

According to the story, during his time with the company, Richard rose from a janitor position to a role in the company’s marketing department and “pitched new product initiatives.”

The development of Flamin’ Hot was revealed to the public in 2019, when Longoria signed on to lead the feature. The film premiered last March as part of Austin’s South By Southwest festival.

Flamin’ Hot is currently scheduled to be released to the public on June 9 via the Hulu and Disney+ streaming services.
