Bindi Irwin thanks Russell Crowe for one-off gig at Australia Zoo
Russell Crowe played a one-off gig with his band Indoor Garden Party at Australia Zoo on Saturday.
Bindi Iwrin shared a video of the performance on Instagram, thanking the actor profusely for the concert at the Queensland reserve.
‘Incredible day @australiazoo. Thank you @russellcrowe, Indoor Garden Party. Music that touches your heart and soul. We love you!’ she wrote in her caption.
In the accompanying video footage, the 59-year-old sang some tunes before addressing the audience.
The Gladiator star said Australia Zoo is “one of the best places in the world” for gamblers to see wildlife.

Elsewhere in the video, Bindi walked into the arena alongside her mother, Terri Irwin, and brother, Robert Irwin, who were feeding some crocodiles as part of the show.
Bindi had previously shared a poster from the performance showing Russell will perform alongside The Gentlemen Barbers, Janet Devlin, Lorraine O’Reilley and Myth of Her.
Australia Zoo also shared the poster from Facebook, writing: ‘Crikey! Wildlife Warrior, Russell Crowe and his band Indoor Garden Party perform at Australia Zoo on Saturday 3rd June! Live at the Crocoseum, included in your entrance ticket! See you there!’
The Oscar winner is a longtime supporter of Australia Zoo and a friend of the Irwins. His friendship with matriarch Terri spawned decades of romantic rumors that she has fervently denied.
In 2021, Terri, 58, thanked the Hollywood star for his donation to Australia Zoo, which resulted in the rescue of a sick kookaburra named Archie.

The year before, he gave Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell a fig tree as a wedding present.
To celebrate his 56th birthday from afar in April 2020, the newlyweds hugged the tree in a sweet Instagram photo, as they couldn’t see it in person.
In 2021, Terri denied dating Russell, saying she was “very single.”
She told Access Hollywood in 2017, “Honestly, he (Russell) and Steve became friends many years ago, and after Steve passes away, you find out who your real friends are. And Russell has been very loyal as a good friend.”
The mother-of-two hasn’t dated anyone in public since her late husband Steve was tragically killed in a freak stingray accident in 2006. He was 44.

Despite continued denials that the pair were an item, Russell has also jumped on Terri in the past.
“Terri is one of the best women I’ve ever met in my life, with no intimacy or anything,” he said.
“You know I love Terri Irwin, I love her kids and I love how she’s kept Steve’s memory alive, and respected the work they started together and she’s an absolute champion.”
Russell is in a relationship with his former actress girlfriend Britney Theriot, 32,
