What time does Diablo 4’s early access begin?

The hatching of Diablo 4 has finally arrived, and to complicate things slightly, there are two release dates to contend with.

One is an early access period, available to those who own the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game, meaning you can start playing from June 2nd.

For everyone else, you’ll have to wait until the following Tuesday – June 6 – to get started.

The good news is that no matter where you live, every global launch goes live at the same time – meaning you don’t have to be jealous that someone else on the other side of the pond has a head start.

Diablo 4 early access release time: What time does Diablo 4 go live?

For owners of the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, Diablo 4 will be available in early access at the following times and dates:

  • 4 p.m. PDT on June 1 off the west coast of North America
  • 7 p.m. EDT on June 1 off the east coast of North America
  • 12:01am BST on June 2 for the UK
  • 1am CEST on June 2 for Western mainland Europe
  • 8am KST/JST on June 2 for Korea/Japan
  • 11 a.m. CET on June 2 off the east coast of Australia

In summary, Diablo 4 goes live in all regions simultaneously – synced to midnight UK time. This means for those in America you can start playing from Thursday, while those in Asia will have to wait until Friday morning.

Something to note with both release periods is the possibility of queues and server issues. This is the power of an online game – and Diablo 3 suffered more from this than most – but hopefully this year’s spell of betas, including the “Server Slam”, which is designed to put the game’s online connectivity to the test, will hopefully make a difference.

Diablo 4 preload time: When can I install Diablo 4 early access?

Diablo 4 is available for preload from 31 May UK midnight / 4pm PDT on 30 May – in other words, from now until release.

To download on PC or console, go to the game’s listing in the appropriate online store.

If you’re all set to go, be sure to read our Diablo 4 view while you wait.
