But Peter Andre’s career took a whole new turn on Wednesday when he made his presenting debut on GB News, where he delivered the top stories of the day alongside host Ellie Costello.

And while many were no doubt alarmed that the artist traded his microphone for the autocue, several were pleasantly surprised by his newsreading skills.

On Twitter, viewers were quick to note that the star was “surprisingly not bad,” with one enthusiastic fan calling for him to be a “permanent fixture” on the channel.

‘Well done Peter. You have an excellent TV voice and while GB News has you, GMB has Ed Balls. I hope to see you more often,” said one viewer.

While he made a believable turn on screens, there were some viewers who were baffled by his presence on the show as they suggested he should stick to his day job.

Alongside a video of himself, he wrote, ‘I will be hosting the GB News Breakfast show for the first time tomorrow morning with @elliecostelloTV.

“Come to us bright and early. 6-9:30 am.”

The clip showed fresh-faced Peter dancing behind an aquarium and cuddling a beautiful woman as they reenacted scenes with Ariel and Eric in the original animated classic.
