Pokémon’s next Squishmallows include Piplup, Pikachu

The lineup of Pokémon Squishmallows will soon be expanded with two (semi-)new additions to the squeezable brand of plushies: Piplup, the Penguin Pokémon, and a winking, open-mouthed variant of Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon. Those two pocket monsters join the previously released Pikachu, Gengar, Snorlax, and Togepi Squismallows at an unannounced date.

The official Squishmallows account tweeted revealed Piplup and winking Pikachu on Tuesday, but gave no details on when and where Pokémon fans can get the new plushies. The 12-inch Snorlax and Togepi Squishmallows were released through the Pokémon Center website in April, and quickly sold out. (Squishmallows – including the Pokémon variety – come in different sizes and are sold at various online and physical stores. The Pokémon ones are often hard to find.)

Polygon has reached out to Jazwares, the creator of Squismallows, for more information on Piplup and winking Pikachu, and will update when the company responds.

Pokémon Squismallows launched in November 2022, with the arrival of Pikachu and Gengar, after making their widely publicized debut at San Diego Comic-Con last summer. Luckily for the folks at Squishmallows, The Pokémon Company has about 1,000 additional Pokémon ready to be transformed into soft, huggable, curvy boy shape.
