A member of the Notorious Crime Family gang who pointed a gun at a dog and pulled the trigger now claims he’s a changed man after finding God.
Jimmey Barkho, 32, pleaded guilty at Broadmeadows Magistrates Court in Melbourne on Tuesday to charges of firearms, trafficking in proceeds of crime and urinating in a police cell.
The underworld figure who was slapped with a gun ban in October 2019 was found to have violated the ban when police discovered a USB drive as part of a separate investigation that revealed Barkho was wielding a gun.
In one of the clips, he pointed a .38 caliber Taurus special revolver at a French bulldog, which was being held by another man.
“Where’s the money?” In the video, Barkho, before pulling the trigger, demanded the Announce sun reported.
The designer dog was alive because the gun was not loaded, the court heard.

Another video showed Barkho posing with a 9mm CZ semi-automatic pistol in front of the bathroom mirror of his Greenvale home.
Investigators were able to immediately identify Barkho by his unique forearm tattoo and distinctive voice, and he was charged in June 2022.
During his arrest he was taken to a holding cell at Broadmeadows Police Station where he urinated on the floor.
The cost of cleaning the cell was $434.50, police said.
After 33 days of pretrial detention – spent in solitary confinement – Barkho was released on bail for a three-month drug rehabilitation program.
There Barkho decided to change his ways.
His lawyer, Mark Kelly, told the court that his client had dealt with his drug addiction and rejected his criminal past after returning to his Christian faith.
Kelly said Barkho had “really changed his life” and had shown “considerable insight” into his past behaviors and the impact it had on his family.

He also claimed to have cut ties with other members of the Notorious Crime Family gang.
He is now determined to be a good husband and father to his wife Mia Coory and their young daughter, Kelly told the court.
Magistrate Stella Stuthridge told the court she saw a ‘real change’ in Barkho and that his discussions with a Community Correction Order reviewer showed ‘growing insight’.
Barkho avoided further jail time and was placed on a two-year CCO during which he will have to do 120 hours of unpaid community service.
