The end of the terraced house is near the Grade II listed Bryn Bras Castle – and is believed to be part of the castle’s original estate.

It stands in the castle’s original outbuildings, believed to have been stables before being converted into housing.

There are the remains of other outbuildings nearby, which were converted into a ballroom in the 1920s to replace the original one which collapsed shortly after its completion in 1836.

Nearby Bryn Bras Castle is an impressive Grade II listed building dating back to 1830.

The current owner of the terraced house in the village of Llanrug in north west Wales is Ann Lawton, who has been renting it out for 13 years and does not live there.

The property used to be a vacation rental before she bought it at auction over a decade ago in 2010.

She explained that the turrets were once stables and that the houses were inhabited by the castle workers.

A couple who previously lived there had their initials placed above the gateway to the turret, and the decals are still there.

Ms Lawton told MailOnline Property: ‘It has been a privilege to own part of what was originally Bryn Bras Castle and has attracted long term tenants over the 13 years we have owned it.

‘The house was previously a successful holiday rental, which is not surprising given its historic and beautiful location.’
