A child has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after allegedly being attacked by a man in the Northern Territory.
Police say the 26-year-old man was drunk when he attacked the child with a blunt weapon in the small town of Tennant Creek this weekend.
The child suffered serious injuries and was transported by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
The man is suspected of serious injury.
He will appear in Alice Springs District Court on Tuesday.
