Self-declared white supremacist attempted to establish a “private white community” in Colorado
Self-declared white supremacist is arrested after trying to create a ‘whites-only’ community with ‘hardcore gun training’ on his Colorado property — complete with bombproof underground bunkers
- Chad Keith, 41, planned to create a white-only community complete with a school where children would learn an “anti-Semitic curriculum”
- He also wanted to conduct “hardcore gun training” and reportedly described himself as a Nazi who would die for his beliefs, according to court documents
- Keith is charged with illegal possession of 11 weapons, including rifles
A gun-obsessed white supremacist wanted to establish a “private” community in Colorado where young children would learn an “anti-Semitic curriculum” from military personnel, court documents show.
Chad Edward Keith, 41, also described himself as a Nazi who would ‘absolutely’ die for his faith, it is claimed.
Details of Keith’s deranged plans have emerged after he was arrested earlier this month for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
The FBI launched an investigation into Keith after several reports of illegal possession of firearms. FBI agents then recruited an informant who obtained undercover photos of Keith’s guns and learned about his white supremacist views.
His 11-gun loot included rifles, pistols, and shotguns.

Keith—who was barred from owning firearms due to a previous felony conviction—planned to settle the community on a mountain site with “several underground bunkers” and a Faraday cage for protection against electromagnetic explosions.
The property was described as “100 percent off-grid” and also included a radio tower and a 140-foot-deep water well.
Keith has appeared in court for the charges and is expected to attend a new hearing on June 12. A trial is scheduled for July 24.
The indictment says that Keith possessed:
- A 300 Magnum Bolt action rifle with no serial number
- Mossberg 500 12 meters
- Savage Model 93 R17 Caliber 17HMR
- Glock 21 caliber .45 auto
- Rifle with rifle scope and hand-engraved serial number
- Winchester model 62A, caliber 22
- Century Arms C308 Sportsman
- Ruger 10/22 22 long rifle
- Mossberg 590 12-gauge shotgun
- Century Arms WASR-10 7.62 by 39mm caliber

Special Agent Holly Andersen said in a criminal indictment that around October 2020, the Colorado FBI began receiving tips about “Keith’s possession of attempts to obtain firearms.”
He had lived in Colorado Springs and also owned the 6-acre mountain estate where he wanted to start the “white private community” in nearby Cotopaxi.
Keith regularly told the FBI informant about his plans for the property, which included “wanting to leave a legacy and establish a white private community.”

The indictment adds: “Keith has spoken of buying more adjoining properties to own a piece of land large enough to build and operate a school, which he would call Ravensridge or Ravensrock.
Keith has stated that he needs more land because he currently doesn’t have enough space to do “hard core weapons training.” The purpose of the school would be to teach various skills, including weapons training, and to instill ideology consistent with white supremacy.
“Keith’s target audience is younger than high school. Keith discussed specific plans for the school, including an anti-Semitic curriculum. Keith hopes to recruit military personnel to help teach the school.’
Describing himself as a National Socialist and a Nazi, he “often makes remarks denigrating Jews and noting that he is unhappy that Jews control all aspects of finance and science and run the world,” the indictment adds.
The informant said he fired guns at Keith several times, including at the mountain estate.
Photographs secretly taken by the informant show Keith wielding and firing weapons, including a long rifle.
