New York law student uses graduation speech to claim laws are “white supremacy.”

Ted Cruz and other lawmakers have criticized a NYC university for allowing a graduate to deliver a “hate speech” attacking the US military — all while receiving her education from taxpayers.

Yemeni immigrant Fatima Mousa Mohammed used her opening speech at the City University of New York law school on May 12 to argue that laws are “white supremacist” and to attack US institutions for being “fascist.”

The controversial snippet of the law school graduation has people on social media ablaze — including lawmakers themselves.

Mohammed labeled the NYPD and the US military as “fascists” and called on her colleagues to continue “revolutionizing” against capitalism and racism across the country.

The would-be lawyer claimed that black and brown inmates are killed daily in US prisons, and took issue with her own university for “participating in global violence.”

Mohammed began her speech by saying, “I have chosen CUNY law school because of its stated mission to be law in the service of human needs.

“One of the few legal institutions created to recognize that the law is a manifestation of white supremacy that continues to oppress and oppress people in this country and around the world.”

Her speech, which also contained multiple references to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, drew criticism from large groups of people.

Former United States Representative Lee Zeldin said: “Rapid anti-Semitism has completely consumed the City University of New York.

“Until the administration is overhauled and all Jewish students and teachers are once again welcome, taxpayer funding must cease immediately.”

Congressman Mike Lawler added, “This is exactly why I am finalizing legislation to strip universities of their funding if they engage in and promote anti-Semitism.

“CUNY should be ashamed – and lose all the federal funds it currently receives.”

Joel M. Petlin, superintendent of the Kiryas Joel School District, said, “Listen to all 13 minutes of this hateful graduation speech, and you’ll learn what she thinks about the law, police, border patrol, and how she’s the only democracy in the Middle East. East.

“As a New Yorker, I’m appalled that I subsidized her education.”

Texas Senator Ted Cruz added, “City University of New York class day speaker defames Israel and enthusiastically celebrates anti-Semitism.

Cheers to open borders and releasing violent criminals from prison. And denounces the “fascist NYPD.” This is a LAW school. Paid with tax money.’

Another furious viewer online said, “CUNY has become the home of hate.”

During the speech, Mohammed praised the school and its alumni for “lifting the facade of legal neutrality and confronting the systems of oppression that are wreaking havoc on violence against them.”

“Systems created to feed an empire with a ravenous appetite for destruction and violence.

“Institutions created to intimidate, bully and censor, and suppress the voices of those who want to resist.”

She thanked CUNY for being “one of the few” universities to issue a statement allowing students to organize protests “against Israeli colonialism.” She claimed that Israel “rains bullets and bombs indiscriminately” on Palestinians.

Mohammed went on to list a number of reasons to celebrate her colleagues – including their assistance to asylum seekers – before adding: “We have done all this, despite the racism, selective activism and self-interest of CUNY Central – an institution that remains in our hearts.” abandon.

“That continues to work with the fascist NYPD, the military, which continues to train IDF soldiers to carry out that same violence worldwide.”

“Let’s not forget that brown and black men are being killed daily by the state at Rikers… that there are refugees on the southern border who are still trapped.

“That the murder of black men like Jordan Neely by a white man on the MTA is seen as dignified by politicians like Eric Adams and Sen. Chuck Schumer.

‘Be able to [the joy, excitement and rage in the auditorium] be the fuel for the struggle against capitalism, racism, imperialism and Zionism around the world.

‘No one will save the world. No movement will liberate the masses.

“Those who brought the brutality of violence, those who carry the revolution, the people, the masses, those who brought the brutality of violence, those who need our protection.

“They will carry this revolution.”

During her speech, she paused to allow for supportive cheers and shouts from audience members, parents, and fellow graduates.

Prior to graduating from CUNY law school, she attended John Jay College and received a bachelor’s degree in law and society with a minor in human rights studies.

She told the audience at the ceremony that she “comes from the rich soil of Yemen, raised by the humble streets of Queens.”

It is understood that the clip of Mohammed’s speech was removed from YouTube by law school, but has been re-released after a public outcry.

CUNY has been contacted for comment.

Before her graduation speech, Mohammed was known to be a staunch campus protester — and in a video speaking from a picket line, he said: “[We] demand that Zionist professors not be welcome on your campus.

“Demands that Zionist students are not in areas where there are Palestinian students.”

She spoke before a crowd cheered, “We don’t want Zionists here!”
