What is succession about?
Created by Jesse Armstrong, the series follows the prolific Roy family, owners of Waystar Royco, one of the largest media conglomerates in the world.
When CEO Logan Roy, played by Bryan Cox, goes out of business due to health problems, his children vie to take his place.
The “With Open Eyes” finale finally crowns Logan’s successor and reveals who will take over as CEO.
The satirical drama is believed to have been inspired by the Murdoch family as the series bears similarities between Rupert Murdoch and his children.
However, Armstrong told the New York Times in 2019 that several media moguls formed the series, including the Mercers and the Redstones.
