A learner driver spotted behind the wheel of a nearly $900,000 Lamborghini on his way home from school has left fellow motorists in disbelief.
The high school student was spotted driving a black 2015 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV down Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway last Friday afternoon.
A photo of the black supercar with a yellow L-plate on the back was shared to a car enthusiast’s Facebook page and many were shocked that learner drivers are allowed to use a car with this much power.

In Victoria, those with their L’s are allowed to drive high performance cars such as the Lamborghini as long as they are next to a fully licensed supervisor.
However, those on their P license plates are not legally allowed to drive those types of vehicles.
‘This surprises me! P-platers are limited to powerful vehicles, but since you’re supervised as an apprentice, it’s okay to get a feel for the power! Ridiculous,” one person commented on the photo.
“It’s miles beyond their capabilities and even adults who have been driving for years are regularly seen on social media having massive crashes,” said another.
“How is an L-plater allowed to drive such a car?” said a comment.
The black 2015 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV retails for around $890,000 and is the company’s most powerful V12 coupe.
