Idrissa Gueye could set for a return to Everton after saying his goodbyes to his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates ahead of move back to Goodison Park.
The Toffees have won the race for the Senegalese international, fighting off late advances from Arsenal and Chelsea to sign the 32-year-old.
Gueye will sign a two-year deal on Merseyside on Wednesday, as he leaves PSG where he had become surplus to requirements under new manager Christophe Galtier.

The Senegal star previously enjoyed succesfull spell at Goodison Park between 2016 and 2019
The midfielder made 108 appearances for Everton between 2016 and 2019, scoring four goals, before moving to the French capital for £30million.
He has won two Ligue 1 titles whilst at Paris and was a Champions League runner-up in 2020, but is yet to make an appearance for the French champions this season and is keen to move on.
Everton could made it a double swoop this week by also securing the signing of midfielder James Garner after talks with Manchester United.

The Toffes could revive their interest in Watford’s Brazilian attacker Joao Pedro this week
The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful loan stint at Nottingham Forest last season and appears to be out of Erik ten Hag’s plans at Old Trafford.
United are believed to be looking for a fee of around £14million for Garner, who made the Red Devils bench for the Brighton and Brentford games, but has yet to get on the pitch for Ten Hag’s men so far this season.
Frank Lampard is also set to revive his interest in Watford forward Joao Pedro. The Brazilian had been interesting Newcastle but a deal could not be agreed and now could be another name headed to Merseyside this week.
So far this summer Everton have added James Tarkowski, Conor Coady, Amadu Onana, Dwight McNeil, Ruben Vinagre and Neal Maupay to the squad.
