Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley has revealed she lost an eye-watering £20,000 to a rogue trader during a house renovation.
The WAG, 41, who is married to former Manchester United ace Phil Bardsley, 37, took to Instagram this weekend to capture the ‘nightmare’ scenario, which unfolded when they tried to build a bar in their £100 home. 2 million in Cheshire.
In the post, she thanked Trevor Barker, the countertop specialist who ultimately carried out the work, and also shared a series of snaps of the finished work.
In her caption she wrote: ‘We’ve had the longest renovations ever, we even let a workman run off with £20,000 we gave him for materials for our bar. But in the middle of the nightmare we found our angel Trevor Parker.
“Not only does he show up when he says so, but he makes beautiful tables, countertops, whatever you want, and he’s become a good friend now.”

The story of her betrayal comes shortly after she revealed she had previously attempted suicide three times after GP antidepressants “upset the chemicals in her brain,” before being diagnosed with ADHD at age 40.

She said, “All my life I just knew there was something different about me, I just couldn’t fit in and I always wondered why everyone found life so easy, and I found everything so hard, just a list of tasks.
“I wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until my 40th birthday and everything seemed to make sense, but before that I’ve been to doctors for the past 20 years about crippling anxiety and inner restlessness.

‘All the doctors and general practitioners threw me antidepressants, which is, of course, like giving flu tablets to someone with a broken leg.
“So that upset the chemicals in my brain, as well as the ADHD, which caused me to collapse.
“It was like living with 17 TVs in my head at the same time, and I tried to kill myself three times.
“Fortunately, I am very, very bad at trying to take my life, thank goodness. I laugh about it now, but it’s no laughing matter. I’m just trying to see the funny side.’
