The Block locks in country Victoria for 2024 season

The Block wraps up in rural hamlet in Victoria for season 2024 – as popular Channel Nine show prepares to start filming again

Fans of The Block can look forward to a change of scenery next year as the show is reportedly headed to rural Victoria for its 2024 season.

While production for the current season is in full swing at Melbourne’s Hampton East, insiders say preparations are also quietly underway for next year.

According to The Herald Sunwill film the popular Australian TV show in Daylesford, a quaint rural hamlet in Victoria’s Central Highlands region.

Known for its charming scenery and relaxing hot springs, Daylesford is expected to serve as the backdrop for the upcoming 2024 season, bringing a refreshing twist to the urban environment we’ve seen in recent seasons.

Despite Channel Nine’s silence on The Block’s move plans, whispers suggest the 2024 season is slated to feature five historic homes.

These properties will each be set on generous ¾ acre blocks and, following the show’s signature format, will undergo extensive renovations throughout the season.

The production team has reportedly researched potential locations in and around Daylesford, hinting at the authenticity of these rumours.

The innovative relocation plan can see historic homes transported to the chosen lots and undergo a stunning transformation similar to what fans have seen in previous seasons.

Although the deal for this innovative season seems to be going smoothly, an official confirmation has not yet been announced.

The prospect of The Block’s move to the Hepburn area has been the talk of the town since March.

And while there were previous rumors that Hepburn Springs would be the chosen location, the latest buzz suggests Daylesford is the final pick.

As the anticipation continues to grow, many are wondering what the local response is to such a large production in Daylesford’s tight-knit and consumer-conscious community.

Will the locals welcome the crowds of The Block with open arms?

When Channel Nine was approached, they decided to keep their cards close to their chests. “We are not speculating on the location of future The Block series,” they said.

Meanwhile, the current season of The Block takes place in Charming Street, East Hampton, with familiar faces Scott Cam and Shelley Craft resuming their hosting duties.

This year they will be joined by Melbourne real estate expert Marty Fox, who will grace the jury of The Block.
