Thousands of cruise ship passengers have been evacuated from their rooms after a fire broke out aboard a ship.
The fire was discovered on the balcony of the Pacific Adventure cruise ship, which was stationed off the coast of NSW, at around 3:30 am on Sunday.
There are no reports of injuries.
P&O Cruises confirmed that the fire was quickly extinguished.
“This fire triggered our emergency response procedures, including a full complement of guests and crew, and we thank everyone on board for their cooperation,” a statement said.
Passengers were evacuated from their rooms after a fire broke out on the balcony of the Pacific Adventure cruise ship on Sunday morning
The ship is on a three-day cruise in and out of Sydney.
It will return to Sydney on Tuesday.
