Brewer’s shortstop Willy Adames left Friday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants after being hit by a foul ball from teammate Brian Anderson while watching from the dugout.

Anderson batted in the bottom of the second inning when he lined out that hit Adames.

The game was halted for a few minutes to allow the Milwaukee training staff to check on Adames while he was benched. Anderson looked concerned as he waited at the batter’s box.

Adames finally walked out of the dugout and headed for the clubhouse. The Brewers said he was taken for a scan and left the ballpark to get additional testing and evaluation.

Brice Turang relieved Adames at shortstop in the top of the third.
