Kate Winslet made an unremarkable arrival as she landed in Cannes ahead of the Lights on Women Award on Friday.
The actress, 47, was spotted walking out of Nice airport with her entourage on her way to her hotel to relax and get away for the evening’s event.
Opting for a casual ensemble, the Hollywood star donned skinny jeans and paired them with a plain black T-shirt.
The mother-of-two layered up and donned a gray suede jacket to match her charcoal gray ankle boots.
She added to the look with a large navy blue handbag and accessorized it with a selection of delicate gold chains.

Kate went makeup-free during the outing to show off her natural beauty and wore her lustrous golden locks loose to frame her features.
Later in the day, Kate will team up with Cannes Film Festival sponsor L’Oréal Paris to honor female filmmakers with the Lights on Women award.
Kate serves as president and judge for the award, with the winner being promoted on L’Oréal’s social channels and given the opportunity to have their film screened by the brand.
In addition, L’Oréal connects the winners with advertising agencies and producers through other events.
Although Kate has not taken on the challenge of directing, she served as an executive producer on the Emmy award-winning series Mare of Easttown.
She recently starred in Channel 4’s I Am Ruth with her daughterr Mia Threapleton, 22.
In the TV drama I Am Ruth, Kate portrays worried mother Ruth, who tries to help her teenage daughter Freya, played by Mia, overcome a mental health crisis after being preoccupied with the pressures of social media.
Viewers were quick to praise the pair for their “powerful” performances in the drama when the show aired in December, describing it as a “major” image of mental health and social media.

I Am Ruth follows the success of two previous I Am series, offering distinctive single films that explore the experience of women in moments that are emotionally raw, thought-provoking and personal.
It was Kate’s first time working with her daughter.
Kate won a TV BAFTA for her role and she paid tribute to her daughter in her rousing speech for Best Actress.
Kate accepted her award for the show saying, “(I’m) guaranteed to be the one crying on the night, I can’t see (my speech).
“If I could break it in two I’d give the other half to my daughter Mia Threapleton. We did this together, kid.”
