Adorable photos of a 2-year-old King Charles and newborn Prince Andrew resurface

A monarch in the making! Adorable photos of 2-year-old King Charles and newborn Prince Andrew resurface after they were found in a Cambridge SKIP

Adorable photos of the king as a toddler have resurfaced after being found in a dumpster – and are now up for auction.

The black and white photographs, taken at Clarence House in the 1950s, show the monarch pottering about on the lawn as a two-year-old.

In the photos, little Charles is dressed in adorable dungarees and playing with an array of toys, including what appears to be an elephant or horse on wheels.

The photos, which originally belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth’s physiotherapist Margaret Saul, have resurfaced after being missing for 25 years.

Another set of photos also discovered shows Charles’ younger brother Prince Andrew as a newborn.

In the photos that have surfaced, the monarch is beaming as he wanders the grounds of Clarence House, a royal residence he is known to cherish.

Though the photos are in black and white, it’s clear that two-year-old King is sporting a mop of light-colored hair as he plays on the lawn.

He wears short sleeves and dungarees and beams for the camera while appearing in his element with his toys.

In a particularly sweet moment caught on camera, Charles is seen petting the fluffy toy elephant he has in the background, which has a handle and wheels so he can move it.

Another set of photos shows an almost newborn Prince Andrew being held by the midwife who gave birth to him, Sister Helen Rowe.

They were taken in the Belgian Suite on the ground floor of Buckingham Palace, where the Queen gave birth to her third child in February 1960.

The snaps are now in the possession of Willingham Auctions and will soon go under the hammer.
