Ronaldo does Sujud bow and his trademark Siiuuu celebration after sealing comeback win for Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo entertains his Saudi teammates by performing a Sujud bow to his signature Siu celebration after his stunning strike completed Al Nassr’s comeback from 2-0 to beat Al Shabab 3-2

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his stunning winner to Al Nassr with a Sujud bow, followed by his signature Siiuuu celebration.

Ronaldo performed a Sujud, which is the act of low bowing or prostration to Allah facing the qiblah (direction of the Kabba in Mecca).

The 38-year-old then followed that up with his usual Siiuuu party.

Ronaldo scored in the 59th minute as Al Nassr fought back from 2-0 down to keep their title hopes alive in the Saudi Pro League.

Had second-placed Al-Nassr lost the Riyadh derby, leader Al-Ittihad, who previously defeated Al-Batin 1-0, would have been crowned champions with two games of the season remaining.

Al Shabab (4-2-3-1): Seung-gyu, Al Sagour, Santos, Al Tambakti, Al Harbi, Krychowiak, Al Monassar, Guanca, Banega, Junior, Mina.

Cristian Guanca opened the scoring in the 24th minute from the spot after Luiz Gustavo was penalized for handball.

Guanca doubled their lead in the 40th minute, but Talisca narrowed the deficit just before the break.

Winger Abdulrahman Ghareeb tied the score in the 51st minute when he was left unmarked in the penalty area to slide the ball in from close range.

Just before the hour mark, Ronaldo put Al-Nassr ahead in style, sprinting past two defenders to curl a shot from the edge of the box into the top corner. It was the Portuguese star’s 14th goal since joining after the World Cup.

“It’s very difficult to be 2-0 down but we believed until the end and scored three goals, so congratulations to the team and the supporters who were great today,” said the former Real Madrid star.

Al-Ittihad is three points clear at the top of the standings.

Ronaldo said the Saudi league is slowly improving: “Step by step, I think this league will be in the top five in the world, but they need time, they need players, they need infrastructure.”

There are now just two games left for each side in the season, with Al-Nassr three points behind their rivals with an equal goal difference but more goals.

Leaders Al Ittihad defeated Al Batin 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Al Nassr will hope the leaders make a mistake in at least one of their two remaining games.

They still have to face Al Feiha in 12th and Al-Ta’ee in 8th, while Ronaldo and his side take on Ettifaq in 10th before also facing Al Fateh.
