Final photos of paedophile TV star Rolf Harris: Disgraced entertainer poses next to his wife

Pedophile Rolf Harris smiles from ear to ear and plays a digeridoo in his latest series of photos – taken just months before his death at age 93.

The footage shows the disgraced former TV presenter and his wife Alwen posing for the professional photos, taken at a neighbour’s home in January.

Harris has lived like a near-recluse since being released from prison in 2017, accompanied only by his spouse – and carers – at their £5 million home in Berkshire.

Alwen, 91, who always stood by Harris and refused to believe he was evil, is also ill, suffering from Alzheimer’s and using a wheelchair.

She can be seen beaming in one of the recent photos as Harris – who, according to a judge, showed “no remorse” for his sickening crimes – puts his arm around her while holding the paw of their family dog.

In 2018, it was reported how the then 88-year-old invited 70 guests to his home to celebrate his first birthday following his release from prison.

The Sun reported that he performed at the Two Little Boys party with the help of a backing band, with a source telling the newspaper: ‘It was a very jovial evening with a lot of singing, dancing and joking.

‘Rolf seemed in his element performing his old hits with the help of a band and his trusty didgeridoo.’

The convicted sex offender was also reported to have made at least two improvised didgeridoos out of toilet rolls by two individuals in prison, both of which have been seized.

Harris was convicted in June 2014 of a series of sexual assaults, including one on an eight-year-old signature hunter, two on girls in their early teens, and a catalog of abuse against his daughter’s boyfriend over 16 years, starting when she was just a teenager. 13.

At sentencing, Judge Mr Justice Sweeney told the veteran entertainer, “You have shown no remorse at all for your crimes.”

Harris has already been cremated after he died on May 10 after a months-long battle with neck cancer, it emerged today. His family would have held a ‘secret’ funeral.

Harris struggled to speak after cancerous tumors grew on his neck after being released from prison in 2017 for a series of sex offenses, including against children as young as eight.

He was fed through a tube before his death and was seen in a wheelchair outside the house.

A statement from his family, released by his lawyer, said: ‘This is to confirm that Rolf Harris recently passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends and is now buried.

“They ask you to respect their privacy. No further comment will be made.’

Private investigator, author and former police officer William Merritt, author of the book Rolf Harris: The Truth behind the Trials, told MailOnline that he had last seen him in late 2022 and that he was seriously ill.

He said, “Rolf has been very ill. When I saw him, he could talk to me. He was there, but he was clearly unwell.’

Mr Merritt said Rolf has had neck cancer and there are serious concerns about his health, although he was ‘doing well’.

Because of the cancer, Rolf is said to have ‘gargled’ while talking.

His wife Alwen, to whom he was married for 65 years, is also seriously ill and suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. “She’s very vulnerable,” he said.

It understood that Harris’s health was deteriorating after the sudden death of his poodle earlier in 2022.
