Hook, line and sickening! Russian fisherman shares mind-boggling photos of fish whose organs appear to be hanging out of their mouths

A fisherman has shared stomach-churning photos of his latest catch, which show a beady-eyed creature with organs hanging out of its mouth.

Roman Fedortsov, who works on a trawler in northwestern Russia, is sharing snaps of his grotesque and fascinating finds online, much to the shock of the internet.

Although the type of fish is unknown, it has a long body with short front fins, similar to bottom feeders.

Fedortsov believes the pressure change after being fished out of deep water turned the fish inside out.

Fedortsov shared the video on his Instagram account.

One user commented, “Well, why exactly at breakfast did I come across this video.”

“I’m tired of your pasta!” someone else joked.

Someone else wondered, “But what comes out of his mouth? A tongue or some other species?’

‘Wow that’s crazy. There’s so much we don’t know,” another person commented.

Another person joked, “My appetite is gone and no need to diet!”

“This account is so filthy. But I can’t look away,” said one fan.

Another person commented, “How interesting. What doesn’t happen in the animal world.’

“Those are his organs coming out of his mouth,” someone else added.

Fedortsov’s Instagram account is full of deep-sea discoveries that look more like aliens than fish.

These aquatic rarities were mainly found in the Norwegian and Barents Seas, with some coming ashore from the Atlantic Ocean.

Roman attended the Marine University in Murmansk and is an expert in processing and preparing fish.

He’s set up his social media accounts to share these photos with people who might not otherwise see them.

Roman previously told the Press Association: ‘All types of fish are beautiful in their own way.

“I can’t say they’re ‘scary’ or ‘ugly’.”

“People are very interested in unusual sea creatures,” he added

“I think the reason for that popularity was the fact that an ordinary sailor can cope with life with unusual ‘fantastic creatures’.”

“Readers are under the impression that we bring on board unusual species of fish with every trawl,” the fisherman added.

Actually, this is far from the case. It’s a rarity.

“On the other hand, even a famous fish can be photographed in such a way that it looks like a ‘monster’.”

“Most farmed fish don’t survive because of the pressure differential,” he added.

‘Commercial fish is processed, non-food bycatch is used for the production of fishmeal.’
