Woman suffers huge cake fail after being served a completely different dessert than she ordered

A baker has enraged hundreds of people after delivering a cake that looked nothing like what was ordered.

A woman shared a photo showing the cake her friend ordered for her birthday party, which looked very different from what had arrived.

The woman requested a one-tiered version of a beautiful three-layer multicolor with a beautiful ombre effect.

It was topped with a large fondant bow with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on it in beautiful cursive black icing.

It has yellow, pink and blue rounded candies on top, with spots and lines in different contrasting colors, making it sure to turn heads at any party.

But what arrived was a far cry from the kaleidoscopic delight ordered.

The cake was a moldy yellow color and a single layer, with colored dots on the outside and a salmon-colored bow.

The bow turned out to be filled with kitchen paper.

People were shocked after the post was shared on Facebook.

“I would be ashamed to be a baker and send a cake like that to a customer. I couldn’t possibly do that. They have no shame I guess,” one wrote.

“I hope she didn’t pay for it,” added another.

‘I need to know. Do they offer any kind of explanation or was this just given to her straight face?’ said a third.

“Did they accidentally give you someone else’s cake? Because that’s the only semi-acceptable excuse for this mess. Why are there paper towels in the tie loops?’ asked another.

“You ordered a beautiful professional cake and got someone’s first ever attempt at decorating a cake. Ouch,” one person wrote.

“Asked for rainbow got dirty paper towels,” another joked.

One baker even gave his own insight into what might have gone wrong.

‘Oh boy. They used a paper towel to smooth out the cake frosting, a method I never have and would never use. Their airbrush gun was dirty, hence the confused colors of the cake.

“The fondant work isn’t bad, but she didn’t color the actual fondant — she airbrushed it to look awful.”

“The paper towels in the bow should hold the shape until the fondant sets – this is a step that should have been done before you picked it up.” I dread how clean this bakery’s kitchen is. Grotesque,’ she added.

Another likened it to the viral ‘Trilby’ cake – citing a viral dispute over an $84 birthday cake has sparked outrage on social media, with the bakery criticized by ‘fake’ customers who left angry reviews in what they says is an attempt to ruin her business.

Kylie Allenowner of her own business, Kylie Kakes in Princeton, West Virginia, took to TikTok to detail the “worst customer experience” she’s ever had, explaining how she was furiously criticized by a customer after she bought her a rainbow sprinkle cake had baked.

In the video, which has been viewed more than 4.9 million times, the baker revealed that the customer, Ashleigh Freemanbought a cake for her mother’s birthday in April.

Ashleigh paid $84 [127AUD] for dessert, however, she was not satisfied and after Kylie’s video, she decided to share her own version of the story on TikTok.

After Kylie’s clip went viral, Ashleigh decided to share her own version of the story, with photos of the cake she said looked like “s***.”

Ashleigh said the cake was not worth the hefty price tag, and many social media users agreed with her, claiming that the writing and sprinkles brought down the quality of the cake.

Recently, a Texas baker misread a customer’s request for a four-year-old’s Elmo cake, and instead created a gothic emo design for the youngster.
