Thale moves to the city of Nybo after her father is killed.

She struggles to fit in and initially holds a grudge against her mother, whom she blames for her father’s death. Things start to get better when she is invited to a party by a high school friend.

But the party doesn’t end well – a beast kills a girl and attacks Thale, leaving her with an injured shoulder. Thale then begins her own transition into a werewolf.

The movie contains some disturbing scenes. At one point, Thale devours her friend after turning into a werewolf during a full moon.

Fans have taken to Twitter to respond to comments about the film.

“My 8-year-old sister thought she was smart and secretly watched the Viking Wolf on Netflix. She snuck into my room around midnight because the nightmares are nightmares.’
