In an exclusive conversation with Mail Sport, McGregor said, “Her shots are like a semi-automatic pistol. That’s how she shoots. They are missiles out of the room. She has an unlimited clip. They just keep coming and coming and coming.
“The engine is unlimited. She is an exciting fighter to watch. I saw her for the first time when I went to look at her, it was like looking at a holy angel. I saw her walk into the ring and she became a completely different person.
‘She was furious. This lady is real. Everyone thinks she’s sweet and timid, but in the ring she’s far from sweet and timid. She stands by her beliefs and values and comes out flying. She is a fighter, born and raised. We’re with her all the way.’
McGregor went on to talk about the pre-fight atmosphere in Ireland and the reception Taylor will receive at 3Arena tonight.
The MMA star told Mail Sport: ‘The sound [in the 3Arena] will break the decimals. You know, at a rock concert and they’re checking the sound levels, well this is going to break the decimals.
“She’s a professional though, so she can handle it. I’m looking forward to it, it’s going to be crazy. Katie’s got this, she’s got experience, she’s calm and when the bell rings she knows what to do.’

Cameron – who holds the WBC title since 2020; the titles IBF and Ring Magazine since 2021; and the WBA and WBO titles since November 2022 – will be a tough opponent for Katie.
However, McGregor has backed Taylor to get the job done, claiming the Bray Bomber is “faster” and “more capable” than its British opponent.
McGregor said, “She [Katie Taylor] wins, she wins. But you know, she’s getting heavier and heavier. She faces a taller woman in her chance to become a two-division world champion. So it will be a tough battle.
“Having said that, I think Katie has better skills, I think she’s faster and has beaten her before in the amateur ranks. I know that’s very different from the pro ranks, but it’s something that needs to be said. I’m sure she’s doing the business.’
