Roma ‘will attempt to persuade Jose Mourinho into staying by promising two HUGE signings’

Roma ‘promises Jose Mourinho two HUGE signings in the summer’ in hopes of persuading him to stay…as Portugal manager leads PSG’s search for a new head coach

  • Jose Mourinho has emerged as a front-runner to become PSG’s new manager
  • Roma will try to persuade Mourinho to stay by promising transfer actions
  • They have reportedly suggested two big players who could sign in the summer

According to reports, Roma will try to persuade Jose Mourinho to stay at the club by promising some exciting transfers before the summer.

Mail Sport confirmed this week that the Portuguese manager has emerged as a frontrunner to land the vacant head coach role at French giants PSG.

Mourinho has led Roma to the Europa League final a year after winning the Europa Conference League and is adored by supporters in the Italian capital.

But it is expected that PSG will part ways with Christophe Galtier in the coming weeks and have already begun their quest to replace him, with Mourinho one of their targets.

However, reports from Italy suggest that Mourinho will not be the only manager on PSG’s shortlist and so Roma have now turned to trying to convince him to stay.

According to calciomercatoRoma’s sporting director – Tiago Pinto – will try to convince Mourinho by promising two big signings before the summer.

Those two players are Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan N’dicka.

Aouar was linked with a move to Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League last summer, but none materialized.

The outlet also claims that negotiations have already begun for Roma’s switch to French defender N’Dicka, who was previously linked with Arsenal.

Pinto is keen to ensure Mourinho stays at the club, despite the sporting director’s recent ties over a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Mail Sport revealed last week that the north London club had targeted Roma player Pinto and Eintracht Frankfurt player Markus Krosche to succeed Fabio Paratici.

Mourinho’s relationship with compatriot Pinto is said to have been strained at times this season and the coach has only one year left on his contract.

The Serie A team hope Mourinho chooses to stay at the club given their recent exploits in the Europa League semi-finals.

The Italian side made a tenacious defense against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday night to secure a 0-0 draw – 1-0 on aggregate – and reserve their place in the final of the competition.

They now face Sevilla on May 31, after Spanish side Juventus triumphed 3-2 in their semi-final tie.
