Former Olympic champion Libby Trickett and husband Luke have had a baby boy.

The 38-year-old swimmer announced the happy news on her social media on Friday.

“He’s here,” the proud mother gushed in her post. “The last little piece of our family puzzle (this time for real!),” she continued.

Alfred Sunny Trickett arrived at 9:09 a.m. on May 17. Every birth I’ve had has been extraordinary and this one was no different.

“Quiet, full of joy and laughter, I couldn’t have wished for a better way to meet our little boy.”

Libby added an intimate photo to her story.

A smiling Libby can be seen holding her newborn against her chest shortly after giving birth, while husband Luke poses next to her.

Already a mother of three girls, the swimming champion joked: “Alfie has no idea what’s in store for him with his three big sisters and the girls are absolutely in love.”

The gold medal winner said Alfie was born via caesarean section, weighing 3.5kg and measuring 52cm in length.
