All the news we’ve heard about Mrs. Davis season 2 so far
Simone’s battle with the ever-present AI Mrs. Davis has come to an end, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the Peacock series is over. The series certainly has a unique world and tone, and it’s likely one that could support even more seasons or entirely different stories, if Peacock chooses to revamp it.
But while we don’t know anything official yet, we’ve already heard a bit about it Mrs. Davispossible second season:
Is Ms. Davis getting a season 2?
This is a complicated question. At the moment there is no official word that the series will be renewed, in fact it has been submitted to the Limited/Anthology Series Emmys category, which certainly suggests it could end after the first season. However, both co-creators have already expressed interest in continuing the series.
What Would Ms. Davis Season 2 Be About?
This is where things start to make a little more sense and a second season starts to seem more likely. Co-creator and writer Tara Hernandez narrated Gizmodo in an interview that she thinks Simone’s quest for the Holy Grail in the first season more or less ran its course, and a second should probably be a different story.
Meanwhile, the show’s other co-creator, Damon Lindelof, told Polygon that it was important for the writing team to create a story that felt like it came to a satisfying conclusion at the end of the first season, especially since it renewing shows is not easy. but also so that it could go another way if his “miracle on top of a miracle” happened.
What all of this, along with the Emmy category, means is that it seems very likely that if the show returns, it’s probably not going to be about anything from Season 1, except maybe for Ms. Davis herself.
Would the cast return for Ms. Davis Season 2?
This is also a bit of a tricky question. Whatever the answer may be Mrs. Davis will be an anthology show, if it goes ahead at all, it’s also very possible that it will feature some of the same cast members. It’s easy to see ways in which some of the side characters come back, but it’s also possible that Betty Gilpin could just be next season’s protagonist by playing a totally new character – because she’s amazing and should be starring in all the shows. to get. , honestly. And there’s even a chance that might happen, Gilpin has said she wants to do the show for four seasons (although it seems like she probably talked about playing Simone for all four seasons).
All this is, of course, getting ahead of things a bit. The show should officially come back or else the rest would really matter.
When is season 2 of Mrs. Davis out?
We have no idea when this could be. Based on the fact that it hasn’t been officially renewed, it doesn’t look like it’s coming any time soon. In fact, it looks like it could happen as early as 2025 at the earliest, but it would probably be even later.
