This is a complicated question. At the moment there is no official word that the series will be renewed, in fact it has been submitted to the Limited/Anthology Series Emmys category, which certainly suggests it could end after the first season. However, both co-creators have already expressed interest in continuing the series.

What Would Ms. Davis Season 2 Be About?

This is where things start to make a little more sense and a second season starts to seem more likely. Co-creator and writer Tara Hernandez narrated Gizmodo in an interview that she thinks Simone’s quest for the Holy Grail in the first season more or less ran its course, and a second should probably be a different story.

Meanwhile, the show’s other co-creator, Damon Lindelof, told Polygon that it was important for the writing team to create a story that felt like it came to a satisfying conclusion at the end of the first season, especially since it renewing shows is not easy. but also so that it could go another way if his “miracle on top of a miracle” happened.
