Identity of mystery Instagram meme queen Miss Double Bay is finally revealed after years of hiding as the budding social media star goes public during Australian Fashion Week

The mysterious identity behind popular Australian meme account and micro-influencer Miss Double Bay has been revealed.

The woman who runs the account is Claudia Bursill, a Sydney-based marketing and social media executive.

Her identity was revealed earlier this week after she wandered Carriageworks during Australian Fashion Week while a friend snapped photos of her on an iPhone.

The blonde was dressed in oversized pants with an ill-fitting blazer.

She accompanied a pair of heeled flip flops, a brown handbag and dark sunglasses.

Claudia runs the pop culture meme account Miss Double Bay, which has just over 50,000 followers on Instagram.

The account led to an official newsletter and a 700ml emotional support water bottle, which Claudia sells online for $47.

The account was started in 2016 after Claudia posted a fake troll comment on Woolworths’ official Facebook page complaining about rotten avocados she bought from a supermarket in Sydney.

After posting the comment, she was called out by Woolworths for taking a photo of the avocados following a previous customer complaint posted two years earlier.

She then launched the Miss Double Bay account, where she posts screenshots of celebrities like Jennifer Coolidge and Paris Hilton.

“Since then, I’ve built quite a reputation for my uninhibited antics on Instagram,” Claudia writes on her official website.

“If you’re a female millennial from Sydney, chances are you’ve been tagged in one of my memes.”

Claudia is just one of many Aussie Instagram personalities looking to make the leap from social media into the mainstream.

Comedian Christian Hull has his own popular podcast on the LiSTNR network, while transvestite Carla From Bankstown landed a spot on Channel Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice last year.

Claudia has already landed celebrity management and has partnered with brands such as Amazon’s Prime Video and delivery service Milkrun for sponsored ads.
