Real Housewives Of New Jersey put ‘on pause’ following rift between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga

The reality TV series Real Housewives of New Jersey has been ‘put on hiatus’.

The future of the Bravo show is currently on hold due to the feud between Teresa Giudice, 50, and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, 44, according to Page six.

The women — who yelled at each other during Tuesday’s season finale — are said to be “legitimately estranged,” with the network unsure how to proceed.

According to the publication, none of the castmates have been offered contracts for the next season, and no one has been fired at this time. There is currently no date for Season 14 to begin filming.

Giudice and Gorga had a huge falling out while filming the Season 13 finale due to rumors that Melissa was cheating on her husband – Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga – and kissing an old friend Nick Barrotta. Their falling out caused Melissa and Joe to skip Teresa’s wedding to husband Luis “Louie” Ruelas.

According to insiders, filming was set to resume in June following Giudice’s wedding to Ruelas and the upcoming season 13 reunion.

However, the showrunners have reportedly informed the cast that no filming is taking place.

In fact, the last update the cast received was that filming might not start until 2024.

“No official decisions have been made on Season 14 as the finale, Teresa and Louie’s wedding special, and reunion episodes have yet to air,” an insider said.

The break has caused many women to start planning their summer holidays.

Insiders say opinion on the break is divided, with some women worried about a financial hit for not filming, and others happy about a break.

Season 13 of the currently airing reality show stars Giudice, Gorga, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral, Dolores Catania and Rachel Fuda.

The publication also noted that the season 13 reunion — which was filmed last month — was rough and that Giudice was “completely unhinged” and “out of control” during the sit-down.

A source added that she was “mean than ever” and “swears” a lot.

After the reunion, host Andy Cohen admitted that he “lost his shit” at Teresa during the heated episode – but later apologized.

“The level of, I won’t even say vitriol, I’ll say, hate Teresa and Melissa [have] … I mean, the gloves are off,” the Bravo personality, 54, recalled on an episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.

“I’ve never seen anything like it, and the way those two went back and forth,” he added.

“There was a point where I turned to Teresa — I apologized to her later — I wasn’t yelling at her, but I think I lost my s*** with her in a way I may never have. ,’ he said.

The Watch What Happens Live host didn’t go into detail about exactly what happened, but he alluded to the fact that there were “a bunch of new allegations” and “new material to come in” and that Teresa wouldn’t stop bickering with her sister-in-laws.

Meanwhile, during the season finale, Melissa stated that she would not go to Giudice’s wedding after they yelled at each other.

The reality star yelled at Teresa at an Irish-themed party after learning that a false rumor was still circulating about her.

Show newcomer Danielle Cabral, 37, finally shared the rumor with Melissa after hearing about it from Jennifer Aydin, 46, during a group trip to Ireland to celebrate Teresa’s upcoming wedding to Luis.

“I’ve already heard this story, and you want to know how?” Melissa said.

“Tell me,” Danielle said.

‘Through my husband. Do you want to know how I heard it through my husband? “Because his sister secretly called him to his house, without me, to tell him this story behind my back,” Melissa said, referring to her husband Joe.

In a confessional, Melissa explained how six months ago Joe was summoned by Teresa and Louie because they heard a rumor about her and believed it so much that they had to call him.

“How dare you tell my husband that I would cheat on him,” Melissa told the camera.

When the episode resumed at the party, Melissa said to Danielle, “I’ve got a pretty screwed-up sister-in-law, don’t I?”

Melissa told Danielle that they should have told her and Joe about the rumor, noting that she was accused of being a stripper and gold digger and “rather doing things in parking lots.”

“I wasn’t about to confront her about this because Joe doesn’t believe it, it’s bullshit, and because I wanted to give her a quiet six months leading up to her wedding,” Melissa said in a confessional.

Melissa, who previously admitted she considered boycotting the wedding, told Danielle that “half the reason” Joe can’t look Teresa in the eye was “because she called him to her house that day.”

Later, Joe said in a confessional that they told him about the rumor and Louie suggested that there were “several men.”

“I sit there when they basically tell me to leave Melissa. A few days later, Gia calls me. And she’s like, “You know, I heard what happened. We just think you can do better. Mom thinks you can, we all do.” So I said to myself am I around people who love me or people who want to hurt me? It sucks,” Joe said, referring to Teresa’s oldest daughter Gia.
