This is when a van driver told Jeremy Vine to fuck off after the BBC presenter went to speak to him when the motorist had a near-miss with another cyclist.
Radio 2 presenter Vine was cycling in Fulham, west London, when he saw the van go so far over the road markings that it nearly collided with the cyclist.
Vine yelled “woah, wow” and turned to talk to the van driver, but he sped off yelling “f*** off” — as a passerby told Vine, “It’s okay boss, you’re standing in your right.’
The 57-year-old presenter then said: ‘Oh my god, maybe I’ll have a talk with him’. But then he tweeted a meme saying, “Yeah, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
He then spoke to the passerby who was with two other men and said, “I think they could be dangerous.” The man replied, “They could be, they sound very aggressive.”

Vine then joked, “He seems like the kind of guy who might not come to my birthday party.” And the man then said, “No, very angry man.” Vine added: “Watch out, guys.”
The presenter, who regularly tweets about incidents on the capital’s roads involving himself or other cyclists, posted a video on Twitter of the incident last night.
In an accompanying caption, the host wrote: “Crikey. I was about to have a conversation with the driver of a van, and then decided that I really wanted to make it home alive.’
Vine’s video has been viewed 110,000 times to date. The incident happened at the junction of Harwood Road and Moore Park Road, near the Fulham Broadway tube station.

The clip sparked some discussion online, with one viewer commenting, “Probably a bit fast and wide, but I assume it was so wide because of the post on the corner?”
Another tweeted Vine to say, “I see myself as a cyclist first and foremost (including riding my bike to work). But I also own and drive such a LWB van (long wheelbase). There are many intersections where it is impossible to make a turn on your own side. But of course a driver has to take into account oncoming road users and give way.’
A third said: ‘Longer vehicles like this van sometimes have to use both sides of the road when making turns, otherwise it would be impossible to make the turn without going up the curb or cutting the corner. Admittedly, the driver has to make sure both sides are clear before making the turn.’
Another viewer wrote: “Beautiful boys.” And Vine replied, “Yes, absolutely.”
