Los Angeles Lakers star D’Angelo Russell tried again to promote his ‘Coco5’ partner during a press conference.
Just weeks after finishing press staffing, the basketball guard was at it again as he faced the media following the Lakers’ playoff victory over the Golden State Warriors on Friday.
Russell cunningly placed a ‘Coco 5’ drinking bottle on the press conference table as he took his place in front of the microphone.
But the NBA press officer — the same spokesman for Russell’s attempt last month — quickly saw his move and removed the bottle.
The Lakers player shook his head as the drink was cleared from the table and lifted his sunglasses to look at her before any questions were asked.

But his promotion attempt was soon noticed by a press officer weeks after the first attempt
“That drink, put it down,” an NBA press officer told him in April.
He asked why, to which the league official said, “Because it’s not one of our partners.”
Russell then quipped, “It’s my partner, you’re going to have to fine me,” before plugging in the brand.
The NBA employee walked over to remove the bottle from the table, and Russell added, “You’ll have to take it.”

As the Lakers star wrapped up his press conference, he continued to promote the “Coco 5” brand by repeating it over the microphone several times.
Russell did the same on Friday, saying ‘Coco 5’ at the end of the press conference.
The press officer responded with ‘thank you’ and ‘let’s go’.
Russell and the Lakers knocked out the reigning NBA champions after a 122-101 victory at the Crypto.Com Arena.
