Britain’s Got Talent fans questioned authenticity of Felix Clements’ audition

“It’s all like this!” Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Felix Clements divides viewers as they question the authenticity of his dance audition after gym teacher claimed he had no idea his class was watching before he stormed the stage

Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Felix Clements divided viewers’ opinion when he took the stage during the show’s Sunday episode.

The PE teacher impressed judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli with an emotional contemporary dance.

The twinkling performer sailed through to the next round of the competition after his successful audition, with his students in the audience cheering him on, claiming he was completely unaware of their presence before giving them high fives when they stormed the stage when he was voted through.

While Felix impressed many viewers, others took to Twitter to voice their doubts about how real the scenes were, insisting he must have known his class was there.

One person wrote: ‘Like he didn’t know the kids were there!! All so set up!! #BGT.’

Felix, from Earley, Berkshire, started dancing when he was 11 years old – when George rose to fame in the talent show – and always dreamed of becoming famous on BGT.

The BGT performer started showing his talent to the public more than a year later when he received massive support from his classmates.

He never stopped honing his dance moves while studying to become a teacher – occasionally competing in street dance battles in Reading.

When Felix got a job as a PE teacher at Woodcote Primary School in Berkshire, he didn’t give up on his passion and set out to start his own after-school dance club.

The turning point came when he sent Britain’s Got Talent the YouTube link to his performance dancing to Sam Fischer’s This City.

According to the Mirror he said, “I was in a really good place with my job and I wanted to show the kids that they could really follow their dreams.

“And then BGT called again to say they couldn’t stop watching YouTube!”

The children’s teacher also appeared to be very humble, saying he “can only hope” for as much success as George Sampson and that he is a “huge source of inspiration” to him.

Britain’s Got Talent continues on ITV this Saturday at 8pm.
