People reveal the telltale signs that someone is a terrible person

Thousands of people have shared the telltale signs they believe can reveal if someone is a horrible person.

The debate was sparked by Reddit user u/dontgetallmad who posted the question in the discussion forum.

Others flocked to the comments — and didn’t hold back.

The responses were incredibly varied and included everything from not returning shopping carts to the store to “minimizing other people’s experiences.”

There were some Reddit users who took a light-hearted approach to the question

Reddit user u/dontgetallmad took to the site last month to ask, “What screams “I’m a horrible person”?”

And it has received more than three thousand responses so far.

There were those who took a light-hearted approach to the question, as one wrote, “I’m not saying it’s great for a kid to show you a picture they’ve made.”

Another added: “They don’t rewind until they return their rented videotapes.”

And a third said, “Park and take up multiple parking spaces. Extra terrible points if they are handicap spots.’

But on the other hand, there were many more that revealed some truths about people’s bad behavior.

One user wrote down a long list of scenarios and said, “Taking advantage of or mistreating others if they can get away with it.

“Things like having their roommates do all their dishes and pay all the bills. Letting their partner do most of the housework and sneaking off to help. Pretending they only care about something if someone witnesses it.

But on the other hand, there were many more that revealed some truths about people’s bad behavior

“Only be nice when others are watching. Being cruel when others aren’t watching. “Forgetting” things that don’t fit into their story of who they are.

“It’s so manipulative to cultivate a persona that’s totally untrue and to do the opposite when it’s beneficial. So many people use this strategy to get away with terrible behavior and once you see their true colors it immediately screams that they are terrible at their core.”

And other users followed suit, as another wrote: “People who treat servers, Uber drivers, store clerks, etc. disrespectfully.

“Character is how you treat the people you’ll never see again.”

And a third said, “Minimizing other people’s experience or pain because it doesn’t match your experience.”
