EMILY PRESCOTT: Twiggy is branching out from modeling to music with new album at age 73
Twiggy’s singing career may never have reached the pinnacle of her modeling days, but that hasn’t stopped her from launching another assault on the charts at age 73.
The star’s recording career peaked with a self-titled album that reached No. 33 in 1976. Other releases over the decades, including one produced by disco queen Donna Summer, sank without a trace.
But Twiggy is trying again with a new album and has been busy preparing her vocal cords by drinking an infusion of sage leaves.
Chatting on her podcast, Tea With Twiggy, she says, “It’s really good for your throat,” but admits she draws the line at drinking the leftover sludge at the bottom of the cup. That’s wise advice.

Johnny Depp’s actor daughter Lily-Rose Depp
The rapturous adoration of an adoring audience can be addictive to a pop star – as Johnny Depp’s actor daughter Lily-Rose Depp has discovered.
Lily-Rose, left, plays a successful singer alongside real-life hit rapper The Weeknd in the upcoming HBO series The Idol.
The producers came up with the bright idea of filming an actual The Weeknd concert to capture footage of a frenzied crowd for a scene in the show, and sent 23-year-old Lily-Rose onto the stage to join her co-star.
“I didn’t want to leave,” admits the daughter of Pirates Of The Caribbean star Johnny and French model Vanessa Paradis.
