Is this the MOST extreme reality show yet? The Big Celebrity Detox sees stars DRINK their own urine
The new E4 reality show The Big Celebrity Detox has proven to be very extreme as the celebrities have taken part in grueling tasks including drinking their own urine.
The program includes Kerry Katona, Martin Roberts, Toby Aromolaran, David Potts, Michael Venom Page, Chloe Veitch and Princess Olga Romanoff.
Megan Barton-Hanson, who is also competing, even threatened to quit on the second day of the show, admitting it was more extreme than she had hoped.
The Big Celebrity Detox kicks off on Monday and sees the celebrity lineup take part in “spiritual” challenges, including digesting seeds that cause severe vomiting and diarrhea.
It has established itself as one of the most grueling reality shows on TV, as the stars don’t shy away from getting vulnerable and bearing it all on camera – both physically and mentally.

Clips from the first episode, obtained by MailOnline, show the celebrities taking the vomit challenge and drinking their own urine, shaking some of the group.
While some stars, including Too Hot To Handle’s Chloe, embraced the very grueling tasks, others like Martin and Toby voiced their doubts, warning viewers not to attempt the challenges at home.
In the first stomach-churning task, spirit guide Sah D’Simone presented the stars with bottles of their own urine, informing them that they would drink the liquid.
They were introduced to expert Harry, who told them he drinks his six-month-old fermented urine, with a medical alert flashing on screen telling viewers not to try the practice.
He said to the stars, ‘Do you feel like puking? Remember it’s a fear of social conditioning and it’s your job to undo that social conditioning.”
While the celebrities all looked completely shocked by the suggestion, making unimpressed faces when they were handed the bottles of urine.
Atomic Kitten star Kerry said after drinking her own urine, “Spicy!”
While Homes Under The Hammer host Martin declared, “That’s absolutely disgusting.”
Difficult Tasks: The stars, including Chloe Veitch, had to digest seeds that cause severe vomiting and diarrhea for one task
Quitting: Megan Barton-Hanson, who is also competing, even threatened to quit on the second day of the show because she admitted it was more extreme than she had hoped
Chloe refused to drink her own urine and instead poured it on her tongue, while cage fighter Michael made the other stars feel unwell as he swallowed the entire bottle.
Toby from Love Island was very impressed and immediately spat his urine all over the floor, disgusted by the ritual.
Before spitting out her urine too, Megan asked, “Can you promise this won’t make me sick?”
In the second extreme challenge, the celebrities took part in a “Pinon Blanco Ceremony,” where the stars ate seeds and drank massive amounts of water to make them vomit.
While Olga couldn’t take part in the challenge due to medical reasons, all the other celebrities said they’d give it a try, with buckets for them to puke in.
Expert Chris told the stars, “It’s not as bad as it sounds… even the vomiting, you’ll enjoy it.”
However, Martin asked, “You ask us to take a drug so strong that my body goes crazy and makes me throw up, how is that possible?”
Chloe seemed very excited about the challenge, while Megan admitted that the task “pushed her to the limit.”
The celebrities then all sat in a circle digesting the seeds before drinking gallons of water, all looking physically unwell.
Chloe was shivering and almost in tears when she admitted she was feeling very unwell, while Ibiza Weekender’s David had to rush to the bathroom.
Chloe reflected in a voiceover, “I started freaking out and going into the fear side of it, and that makes me angry.”

Martin remained unconvinced by the very extreme challenge, saying, “I don’t feel lighter, I don’t feel better.”
Megan also really struggled with the challenge, telling Sah that the show was much more extreme than she originally thought it would be.
She said, ‘I feel like I’m struggling, physically and mentally, it’s more extreme than I thought! Even before, those seeds wow, I’ve never been so sick. And believe me, I’ve had a lot of hangovers, but that was a new kind of disease.’
It was previously reported that Megan pulled out of the reality TV show and she threatened to quit at the end of the first episode, which ended on a cliffhanger.
She confessed: “I feel really bad because everyone has been so positive, it’s been hard because I don’t want you to think I’m not part of the team, I just feel like it’s not the right time for me to join this retreat. I’m certainly growing, but it’s so painful.’
Despite the other stars urging her to give it another 24 hours, Megan seemed very unconvinced after being shaken by the first two very grueling trials.
Throughout the show, the celebrities will also take part in even more extreme challenges, pushing them to their limits both physically and mentally.
Led by experts, they will also tackle challenges including snail facials to fight aging, coffee enemas to detoxify the body, and scream therapy to release pent-up stress and emotions.
The stars will also undergo open grave therapy and snake massages and will be forced to dig deep within themselves to let go of the past and overcome their obstacles.
The show features some things that have never been seen on TV before as it proves it to be one of the most grueling reality shows to date.
In November, it was reported that former Love Island star Megan dropped out of the pre-recorded show after just two days of filming.
It’s rumored that Megan decided the outlandish wellness treatments were too much and so she jumped ship.

That’s what a TV insider said The sun: “Megan realized very quickly during filming that the show was a bit too much for her.
“The ‘treatments’ are really complete and quite radical, and she just felt like she bit off more than she could chew.
It wasn’t the show’s fault, they were upfront about what she signed up for, but Megan didn’t really realize how intense it all was going to be until she got on set.
“Producers were gutted and tried to persuade her to stay, but she just couldn’t bear it.”
