White supremacist group Patriot Front marches to Washington DC
The far-right group Patriot Front took to the streets of D.C. to march on the US Capitol in the latest appearance of the white nationalist front.
About 200 people marched along the National Mall on Saturday, flanked by police to keep the extremists separate from a small group of counter-demonstrators.
According to its website, the white nationalist group claims its “activism” is to assert “cultural independence” based on “our European race.”
The Patriot Front made headlines last month when they descended on SatanCon in Boston, where the “largest satanic gathering in history” saw furious clashes between far-right activists and religious zealots.

The group donned their usual attire of tan khaki pants and navy blue shirts, supplemented with white masks and sunglasses to conceal their identities.
A small number of counter-demonstrators gathered nearby, while white nationalists could be heard chanting, “Life, liberty, and victory.”
Large American flags, megaphones and shields were also heavily featured at the protest. It is unclear if the men were armed when they entered the city, and there are currently no reports of injuries or arrests.
The group was escorted down the National Mall by police to keep the extremists away from counter-demonstrators, who shouted at the mask-wearing fanatics as they paraded through the city.
After marching through the Capitol for about an hour, they watched the men pack American flags and shields into white U-Haul vans.
A large police presence then led the fanatics to a nearby train station, where officers blocked public access to allow the group to enter the subway unhindered.
In a video posted to Telegram, a member of the Patriot Front leaving the march said it was a “good demonstration” and that the militants “kept tight and stayed in formation.”
“Simply put, we’ll be back,” he added in a chilling warning.

Saturday’s performance is the latest of several events the group has hosted in D.C., having previously staged a counter-march that paralleled the 2022 “March for Life.”
It’s unclear what prompted the extremists to march on the Capitol, but the group says their activism is fueled by a belief that “America will be untied by tyrannical rule.”
A leader of the group previously stated on a podcast in July 2022 that the organization’s goal is to “make the men who will make the nation.”
“We are creating an organization that can become a legitimate regulatory body… our ideology demands that we stand up for something,” he added.
Members routinely place graffiti and stickers on buildings across the country, and it claims Massachusetts and Texas are the most affected regions.
The group regularly joins other protest groups unannounced and reportedly tries to avoid counter-protests by holding events without permits or outside press.

When SatanCon kicked off in Boston last month, white nationalists joined irate religious protesters outside the event.
Billed as “the largest satanic gathering in history,” the summit was severely disrupted by the demonstrations.
The Patriot Front members were seen waving crucifixes at the Satanists as they formed a blockade outside the conference.
