- Later reportedly dumped firearm near mall
- Found in a trunk wearing a lady’s top
A man who allegedly dumped a sawed-off shotgun in a parking lot has been found in a car trunk, wearing a women’s tank top with a blonde wig.
The 26-year-old man was reportedly seen driving a black Toyota RAV4 with false number plates on Calume Street in Perth’s Hillman on Wednesday.
When police attempted to pull the vehicle over, it allegedly drove off, leading to a police chase with lights and sirens through Hillman and Rockingham in Perth’s outer southern suburbs.
The Golden Bay man is said to have dumped the RAV4 in an underground car park of the Rockingham Shopping Center and hid a ‘package’ in the area that was later identified as a sawed-off shotgun.
Body-worn CCTV footage of the handcuffed man showed him sitting in a driveway wearing a multi-colored crossover women’s top, black pants, and black-pink-and-blue trainers (pictured)
He allegedly left the property undetected after leaving in a second vehicle.
Officers located the man a short time later at an address in Hillman with the help of the police airwing.
Authorities stopped a white Holden Commodore leaving the house and reportedly found the man hiding in the trunk wearing a wig and wearing women’s clothes.
Body-worn images released by police show the handcuffed man sitting in a driveway wearing a multi-colored crotchless women’s shirt, black slacks, and black-pink-and-blue trainers.
Another photo showed a blonde wig in the trunk of the car where he was reportedly hiding.

It is clear that the woman’s wig and top were an alleged ploy for the man to disguise himself.
The man was charged with failing to stop for police, driving recklessly to escape police pursuit, no license to drive and possession of a firearm under aggravated circumstances.
He will appear before Rockingham Magistrates Court next Friday (May 19).
Meanwhile, a woman, 32, from Karnup was also charged with breach of bail, possession of drug paraphernalia and no license to drive.
She will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court next week.
