Girlfriend of late Oregon football star Spencer Webb hits back when family demands DNA paternity test
The girlfriend of the late Oregon football star Spencer Webb has lashed out at his family after they expressed doubts about the paternity of the child she claims he fathered.
Instagram influencer Kelly Kay, who announced she was pregnant with Webb’s child a month after he died in July 2022, said she’s “so tired of the hate” as her paternity battle with his family continues.
“People obviously don’t know what they’re talking about,” she told her 800,000 Instagram followers in a video. “Obviously it’s his kid, you can look at him and see it’s his kid.”
Two months after giving birth to her son “Spider Webb,” Kay said she ordered a DNA test to prove paternity, and now plans to release the results to prove the NFL prospect is the father of her child.

Kay gave birth to her son in March. She named the baby ‘Spider’, after the nickname of the late football star
Her comments came after Webb’s family said in a statement to the Sacramento Bee that they have “doubts and concerns about the paternity of this child for a variety of reasons.”
In an Instagram post following Webb’s death, Kay called the soccer star “the love of my life.” But his family questioned their relationship, claiming that they met him just six days before his death.
“In the first hours after Spencer passed away, and just days after they met, Kelly started talking about the possibility of getting pregnant,” the family said.
The NFL prospectus relatives also claimed that Kay, real name Kelly Green, was “unwilling to compromise on the way the DNA test is conducted.”
The Instagram influencer blasted rumors of her paternity struggles in a video to her 800,000 followers, lashing out at how ‘people obviously don’t know what they’re talking about’

Just a month after Webb was tragically killed in a horror rock climbing accident in Oregon last year, Kay announced she was pregnant with his child.
And in a clear response to the family’s comments, Kay responded to the allegations, saying, “There are two sides to every story and there’s a lot of family drama that I shouldn’t even mention.
“It’s nobody’s business, and I’m trying not to publicize my late baby daddy’s family drama.”
The model said a “great” relationship with Webb’s mother and sisters allowed her to work with a lawyer to obtain a legal DNA test for her son.
She said she plans to share the results of the test as soon as it is released.
“I’ve got the DNA test, so stop saying ‘get one.’ It’s there,’ Kay added. Spencer’s name is on the birth certificate. I’ll post that s*** as soon as it’s in the mail and you guys can literally mess around and find something better to do.’
Kay also shared screenshots of a text exchange with Webb’s brother Cody where she revealed she ordered a DNA test in an apparent response to the family’s claim that she “didn’t want to compromise on the way the DNA test is administered ‘.
Earlier this month, Kay described the heartbreaking moment when Webb died in her arms, telling People, “I was the one who pulled him out of the water and held his head until the paramedics arrived. But unfortunately he passed when they arrived.
“I was in disbelief. I died that day too. It’s unbelievable. The whole time we were waiting for the paramedics, I was talking to him and telling him, “We’re going home. We’re walking out of here.”
“There was a glimmer of hope in my head that maybe it would work out, but it didn’t end that way.”

Webb played as a tight end for college football team the Oregon Ducks
Kelly rose to fame earlier in 2020 after battling the field at the Superbowl in Miami, which she says was because she “saw the power of virality.”
“Suddenly I wasn’t just the hot girl or the girl running across the field,” she shared The New York Times.
“I was a hot Instagram influencer who ran on the field and got global attention.
“I saw an opportunity to capitalize and I saw the power of virality. I really don’t understand why people are so intrigued by it.’
