Dad angered about transgender book found in ‘children’s section’ of library

An irate father claims he found a book in the children’s section of a public library with a chapter on “How to Practice Anal Sex,” leading to a bizarre run-in with the police.
The father was asked to leave the Tamborine Mountain Library in Queensland after he expressed concern about the book, and the police were called to ‘diffuse’ the situation.
He then posted on Twitter about the find – furious about “pornography” being available to small children.
The book entitled ‘What’s the T?’ by transgender author Juno Dawson should be kept in the ‘youth’ section, for young people between the ages of 14 and 18.
The book contains sections on how to prepare the body for anal sex and how children can change gender without their parents finding out.

Before the police were called, staff saw the man taking up the pages of the book.
The furious father recorded a seven-minute video of his conversation with staff and police.
“I was just making a video about this book that was in the junior section that teaches kids how to have anal sex,” he said in the clip, showing a page of the book he references on camera.
He then adds, “There’s a section (in the book) that gives the kids the opportunity to ‘move over without their parents finding out.'”
The library told Daily Mail Australia that the book was in the right place in its Non-Fiction for Young People (14-18) section.
The book itself is about discovering “what it means to be a young transgender and/or non-binary person in the 21st century” and acts as a “funny guide” suitable for teens ages 14 and up.
The library confirmed that the book – which has a 4.8 out of five star rating on Amazon – has been on shelves since 2021 and has yet to receive any complaints.
It arrived at the library as part of a “standing order” – the final distribution of cataloged books sent to all libraries.
Scenic Rim Regional Council says it has “reiterated its policy of zero tolerance for abuse of its staff following a recent incident at one of its branch libraries.”
The Council added that it is committed to providing staff with a safe working environment, free from bullying and harassment, and to ensuring the safety of community members.
