Man United, Liverpool and Newcastle ‘are all sending scouts to watch Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo in action against Rennes as they prepare a summer move’…but the Ligue 1 club want £39million for the former Barcelona defender
Premier League giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United have all sent scouts to watch Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, according to reports.
The French defender has been in impressive form in Ligue 1 this season, making 30 appearances in the league.
At 23, Todibo is one of the brightest young talents in central defense and has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
As reported by Fabrizio Romanoscouts from Newcastle, Manchester United and Liverpool were present at Nice’s game against Rennes to ‘monitor’ Todibo.
The central defender has a price tag of around €39 million and could get a “top club transfer” this summer.

Man United, Newcastle and Liverpool have already sent scouts to watch the defender
With Man United facing a defensive crisis while Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez remain sidelined, they could sign Todibo this summer.
Harry Maguire’s future looks to remain in doubt due to a lack of playing time at Old Trafford this season, with Luke Shaw favored in central defence.
Todibo could potentially follow ownership from Nice to Man United if Sir Jim Ratcliffe manages to buy the English giants.
However, Newcastle could challenge the Red Devils and after taking Sven Botman out of Ligue 1 last season, they could return to the French market.
The 23-year-old would fit into the transfer strategy at St James’ Park as Newcastle prepares for Champions League football next season.
A finish outside the top four could prove a stumbling block for Liverpool, while it is unclear whether Todibo would replace Virgil van Dijk or Ibrahima Konate next season.
It remains to be seen if Todibo would move to the Premier League, but interest in the defender remains high this summer.
