Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva thinks Arsenal would be the perfect destination for Neymar this summer.
The Paris Saint-Germain star has been strongly linked with an exit at the end of the season.
French giants PSG are keen to cut their wage costs and get his hefty £44million-a-season salary off the books, while fellow striker Lionel Messi may also be leaving amid a £522m transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing Neymar.
And the ex-Gunners star, a key part of the Invincibles squad, has urged the North London side to sign the 31-year-old because he is ‘loved’ the way he plays – adding that it is a challenge would be figuring out how he fits in. ‘big task’ for manager Mikel Arteta.

“The past few weeks at PSG have been very strange for Neymar,” he said. Seeing people go to his house; I disagree, fans should not go to a player’s home to protest.
“This can turn into a nightmare because it’s dangerous and not fun. I hope it doesn’t happen to him or any other player again. Everyone knows the quality of Neymar, I don’t need to talk about his quality.
“I like the way he plays and I would like to see him at Arsenal instead of Newcastle because I like the boy as a player but he also has a lot to contribute to football. He has had some injury issues that have made life difficult for him.
“But he has so much more to offer a football club… How would he fit in? Well this would be a great job for Mikel! We have to wait and see, I don’t want to talk about a player who is still under contract with PSG.’
Neymar has had an injured season in Paris, making just 20 appearances in Ligue 1. He may have played his last game for the club after suffering an ankle injury in March.
PSG fans have demonstrated outside his home and at the club’s headquarters chanting ‘Neymar get lost’ in an attempt to pressure him to leave.
This is reported by the Brazilian outlet UOLthe French giants are so eager to get him off their books that they would be willing to sign a ‘substantially reduced’ deal with any interested club.
The 31-year-old is said to be aware of their decision and is pushing for a departure to give him a fresh start, amid fans calling for him to leave.
