It may have been one of the biggest weeks of her life, but Kate Middleton proved during the coronation celebrations that her style is as down to earth as ever.
Rather than splurge on expensive jewelry and multiple new designer outfits, the 41-year-old Princess of Wales opted to recycle some pieces she already had in her wardrobe for this week’s high-profile event.
Known for her love of the high street, the mother of three often chooses to re-wear garments from past engagements to royal events.
And this week was no different, as Kate opted to wear just £5,000 worth of new clothes.
Meanwhile, her red, white, and blue outfits seemed like a subtle nod to the Union flag.

And this past week, she stepped out in a very specific and patriotic color palette of red, white, and blue.
While her coronation dress was made by her favorite designer brand Alexander McQueen, Kate wore a number of high street labels for the celebration.
She wore a new vibrant blue dress from royal favorite Self Portrait for the coronation reception.
Meanwhile, she also opted for a custom Jenny Packham dress for a walk in Windsor.
However, most of her outfits were made around pieces she already had in her wardrobe.

During her day volunteering with her kids, she wore a blue blouse from Really Wild that she paired with her G-STAR RAW Kafey Cargo Ultra-High Skinny Jeans and Chelsea boots, both of which she has worn before
She wore her bespoke Eponine London coat again with her Suzannah Flippy Wiggle dress to hit a pub in Soho on Friday to kick off the celebrations.
And she opted to wear a scarlet Alexander McQueen suit for Sunday night’s coronation concert.
The king is said to cover the cost of Kate’s wardrobes for “work-related” appointments through his official household budget, but it’s not clear if the princess always pays full price for outfits or gets discounts.
