NFL announces blockbuster New Year’s Eve game with the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a rematch of the AFC Championship game

The NFL announced its own New Year’s Eve celebration with the Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Kansas City Chiefs in a blockbuster game.

The clash is scheduled for 4:25 ET on December 31, as the reigning Super Bowl champions will host the Bengals in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game.

Week 17’s game is sure to be a high-stakes thriller as the two dominant teams embark on their final push for the playoffs.

Joe Burrow and Co. had already been identified as one of the defending champion’s opponents, but the newly concluded showdown is one of the first official dates to land on the NFL’s calendar.

In addition to broadcasting on CBS, the Bengals-Chiefs showdown will also be streamed on Paramount+.

The league will announce its full 272-game schedule for its next regular season at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Kansas City will also kickstart the 2023 season, appearing in the opener on September 8.

The Chiefs will also make the trip across the Atlantic to face the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt as part of the NFL’s 2023 international game.

The highly anticipated matchup takes place on November 5 before the New England Patriots field the Indianapolis Colts, also in Frankfurt, on November 12.

The NFL unveiled its full five-game international slate Wednesday with the Jacksonville Jaguars scheduled to kickstart the action overseas and play back-to-back games in London.

The Jaguars have been regulars in London since 2013 and will nominally host the Atlanta Falcons on October 1 at Wembley Stadium before taking on the Buffalo Bills as the away team at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 8.

In the third game in London, the Tennessee Titans will face the Baltimore Ravens in Tottenham on October 15.
