Father speaks out after his daughter was mysteriously found dead: ‘Daddy loves you so much… to the moon and back’

The father of a mysteriously deceased toddler has broken his silence in an emotional tribute to his “angel.”

Harley Jessep said his daughter Valentina Rose, aged two years and seven months, “touched so many hearts, I want you to know that Daddy loves you so much.”

The little girl was found dead in a luxury apartment complex on Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast on Tuesday as emergency services arrived at the Peerless Avenue address at 8am.

Police and paramedics visited the Bela by Mosaic building, while forensic officers searched the block with evidence bags.

“I will always be blessed to have been your father, you changed my life baby. God must need you more than us,” Mr. Jessep continued Facebook on Wednesday.

Police await the results of an autopsy into Valentina Rose’s death.

Her father told Nine News that she had a very rare genetic condition called Lamb-Shaffer syndrome, which causes developmental and intellectual delays and changes in facial features.

a GoFundMe Campaign has also been launched to help pay for the toddler’s funeral expenses.

“This morning we were informed of the passing of our dear Valentina Rose,” it read.

“We are absolutely devastated by Valentina’s unsuspecting passing and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service.

“We want to give Valentina the service she deserves, to honor her memory, her contagious giggles and smiles, her love, and to be able to say our final goodbyes.

“We are asking for donations to help cover the unexpected costs of Valentina’s funeral.”

Monique Monneron, who set up the fundraiser, said the family is waiting for an autopsy report.

“We are still waiting for an autopsy report to find out the exact cause of this sudden death. Valentina was loved by many, especially her mother Tahlia and her father Harley,” she wrote.

“Valentina was the most beautiful, sweetest and caring 2-year-old girl. She would make you laugh and smile with her lovely personality.

“We are aiming to raise money to cover the costs of Valentina’s funeral, coffin, burial plot, and so on.

“Tahlia and Harley have lost their only daughter, for some unknown reason. Their worlds have fallen apart and their baby girl is no longer earthly.”

The account had already raised $1,400 of its $10,000 goal by Wednesday night.
