The 15-year-old brother of reality TV star Olivia Plath was killed on Thursday when a car hit him while riding his electric bicycle.

Micah Meggs died at the scene after being hit by a Honda Accord on US 220 in Franklin County, Virginia, The Roanoke Times reported.

The family said Micah suffered from cerebral palsy, which resulted from an injury to the network of nerves in the shoulder, the brachial plexus, during birth.

Plath, 25, who stars in the Georgia-based family docuseries Welcome To Plathville, wrote on Instagram Stories, “I lost a younger brother to an unexpected accident last night and I need some clarity and space to grieve.”

Olivia, who is married to Ethan Plath, 24, said she “jumped off social media for a bit” and was “taking up some space now” in the wake of the tragedy.

Micah is the ninth of Don and Karen Meggs’ 10 children.

He is survived by his parents, grandmothers, siblings Elijah, Joshua, Elise, Lydia, Sophia, Nathan, Carris and Kirsten, and nieces and nephews, his family said in an obituary.

According to his relatives, Micah always tried to spread joy among his loved ones.

“Micah loved hanging out with his siblings and some close friends, cracking jokes, sharing his understated sense of humor and making those he loved laugh,” the family said.

Micah’s family said his “funny and fearless determination marked his life.”

They said he “enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, and catching traps, and became an accomplished outdoorsman.”

The family added: “He enjoyed showing off his trophies and making video tutorials to teach others how to enjoy the life he loved.”

They added, “Micah brought immense light, laughter and love to every life he touched and his presence will be greatly missed.”
