Scans of Angel Lynn’s skull show damage from falling head-first from van after ex kidnapped her
Shocking scans have revealed the cracks in a young woman’s skull after she was abducted by her violent ex-boyfriend and fell headfirst into the road from a van traveling at 100 km/h.
Angel Lynn, then 19, was kidnapped in September 2020 by her abusive ex-boyfriend Chay Bowskill, then 20.
He put her in a van in Rothley, Leicestershire, and drove off with her.
Angel, now 22, suffered a catastrophic brain injury that nearly killed her when she fell head-on from the removal van traveling at 60 mph on the A6 near Loughborough.
Bowskill claimed Angel fell or jumped from the van, but her mother Nikki Lynn, 48, believes she was pushed despite being cleared of grievous bodily harm.

Angel became paralyzed and unable to eat, walk or talk on his own.
Nauseating CT scans have revealed the extent of her injuries that fractured her skull.

He pointed to the huge crack in her skull and said: “This area here is fractured, split open by the force of the impact.
“To break the skull to such an extent requires incredible force.
“Her injury was so devastating and so severe that there was a very real chance that Angel would not survive.”

Another CT scan showed how Angel’s nose, eye socket and cheeks were injured by the fall.
During the Channel 4 programme, viewers were shown dozens of abusive text messages from her controlling ex-boyfriend calling her a ‘stupid c***’ ‘b****’ and a ‘divvy little snail’.
Angel’s father Patrick, 53, said Angel had initially denied being in a relationship with Bowskill.
He said, ‘She must have been ashamed of him, because he wasn’t a good boy.
‘She was my angel. She’s just daddy’s girl.’
Her mother Nikki, 48, said: ‘He texted all the time. Message, message, message – her phone was lit up.
“They said she rolled down the road like a football. I think he pushed her out of the van.”
Bowskill was cleared of causing grievous bodily harm after it became unclear how Angel had exited the van.

Chay Bowskill, 20, (pictured), of Syston, Leicestershire, was convicted of kidnapping, coercive and controlling conduct and perverting the course of justice following a trial at Leicester Crown Court
However, in January 2022, he was given a seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence after being found guilty of kidnapping, coercive and controlling conduct and perverting the course of justice, following a trial at Leicester Crown Court.
His sentence was then nearly doubled after senior Court of Appeals judges concluded that his original term for the kidnapping was not long enough and imposed an additional four and a half years on him.
Sansome got 21 months. Bowkill’s sentence was later increased to 12 years, although Sansome’s was not changed.
Bowskill, from Syston, Leicestershire, was also convicted of coercive and controlling conduct and perverting the course of justice.
