Sam Burgess’ pregnant girlfriend Lucy Graham returns to Sydney after UK baby shower

Sam Burgess’s pregnant girlfriend, Lucy Graham, flew back to Sydney on Tuesday after spending a week in England with her family and friends.

The fashion designer is expecting her first child with the retired NRL player, 34, after confirming the happy news with Daily Mail Australia in March.

Lucy dressed comfortably for the long-haul flight, pairing black leggings with a gray T-shirt and a pair of New Balance sneakers.

She draped a striped sweater over her shoulders as she dragged her luggage through the international arrivals hall.

The blonde was accompanied by a silver wristwatch and a black leather handbag.

Lucy’s hair was neatly brushed to show off her natural highlights, and her nails were freshly manicured for her baby shower, which took place in Leeds this weekend.

She opted for minimal makeup for the journey home.

Lucy seemed happy to be back in Australia as she and Sam prepare to welcome their first child together.

The WAG celebrated her pregnancy over the weekend with a ‘last minute’ baby shower hosted by her friends and family while she was visiting the UK.

The hairdresser, who recently moved from England to Sydney to start a new life with Sam, looked stunning as she showed off her baby bump in a form-fitting dress.

The baby shower took place at Poppy’s Potting Shed, a venue in Leeds where she made flower bouquets with her friends.

Lucy was given a sickly looking “birth cake” with a plastic doll on top.

The mom-to-be shared a gallery of photos on Instagram from her special day, thanking her loved ones for making everything she “could have wished for.”

“Thank you so much to my amazing friends for organizing the most beautiful last minute baby shower/wedding I could have wished for,” she wrote in the caption.

“Wedding” was a reference to throwing one of the bouquets the women had made.

“Love you all and thank you so much to everyone for coming on such short notice and making the short time we had so much fun. There’s no place like home,” she added.

In one of the photos she posed with her bouquet and cake; in others she smiled along with her family and friends as she showed off her growing belly.

Sam confirmed in March that he was expecting his third child with Lucy.

The NRL coach already shares two older children, Poppy, four, and Billy, three, with his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess (née Hooke).

“We are so excited and happy to start this new chapter together…Have a great day,” he said in a statement.

Friends said Sam was “extremely excited” to start a new chapter with Lucy by his side.

‘He’s crazy about Lucy. It’s been a whirlwind, but she’s an amazing woman,” the source said.

“They get along so well. All his friends are so excited to see how happy he makes her.”

“The burghers are very family oriented and I think there was always a plan to start a family. From what I hear, she’s really good to him. When they’re together they seem to be laughing all the time – she’s killing it.”

Sam befriended Lucy over 20 years ago when they were kids growing up in West Yorkshire, England.

Last month, Lucy shared a throwback snap of the two taken 18 years earlier.
